Howdy y'all
Hopefully everything is going good for everyone involved. I'm over being sick!!!!!! YES! Amanda, my kid sis, got her picture in the paper of the sports section in the Albany paper yesterday so that was awesome. At her game, also, she got the one of the only three hits of the game, a scorcher to right center. It was a solid hit. In other news, Debbie, my mom's best friend, has been diagnosed with cancer. She had surgery luckily and it was removed yet it still may be lurking inside her. They said it was a type two, so not the worst but not the best by any means. She will have to have an open wound for 8 months in order to prevent infection. She's currently at Portland OHSU so she's in good hands. Right now it's baby kit season at the mink ranch so that's always fun and exciting. They're coming in by the hundreds. manda's birthday is coming up on the third, so that's exciting. She and I get to go to a cool chuch event in southern Oregon called the Tree house camp? I don't know. They have rope slides though and all sorts of neat things and we would get to see the oregon caves as well so that should be super cool . My dog, Charlie, everyday he goes over to this black tarp in my field and he picks up a brand new snake and mangles it. Everyday! You'd think he'd grow tired of the snakes by now. He's learning all sorts of  tricks. Soon he'll be a superstar.
Welp, I have a load of clothes going downstairs in the laundry room so I should go flip them. Peace out!

Well, where to start?
The weekend was most enjoyable with Michelle's baby shower except for the part where I pissed Michelle off because she showed me a picture of her baby's skeleton and I freaked out and yell, "What's wrong with your baby?" to which she got offended, yadda yadda yadda. The party in itself was muy fantastico. Did I mention I'm taking Spanish and loving it!? Except there is a boy in there named Ramon who walked me to class yesterday and lo and behold who walks up behind us as he's walking but my dashing boyfriend JJ. I felt bad for Ramon because I don't think he knew I was dating JJ. Oh well. He's a cheerleader anyways...
On other news, us Catholics got a new pope today, Pope Benedict XVI so that's good. The OSU Daily newspaper called the Barometer called me because I have a webpage on the facebook about Catholics and they're like, we wanted a reaction from local students about the new Pope. So I told them everything. Even when Nick texted me earlier today asking who the new pope was. It seemed like I had so much more to say when I sat down and started writing. Oh, JJ and I both are sick... he gave it to me . I brought him this whole remedy kit complete with Chicken Noodle Soup and an Apple to keep the doctor away! Aren't I the bestest girlfriend?? So then I told him I was sick and he brought me a bushel or Oranges (is it bushel?) and some echinacea, that I can't say. it sounds like Ek-a-nay-tia, but I say it E-china-sea-a. I also got laughed at a lot.  I've also been quite addicted to Brandon's game Punk-O-Matic, in fact I was almost late to class playing the stupid game. Sometimes I should just turn off the computer! Oh, on Sunday I spent 3 1/2 hours at the stupid indoor soccer arena watching 2 games of JJ's one game of people I don't know, and one game of JJ's dad, Mark, playing soccer. The song for the week is Jolene which was orignially written by Dolly Parton (sp) but then rerecorded by Mindy Smith. For those of you who don't know Mindy Smith, I suggest you buy her songs, because they sounds so pure. Her voice is so beautiful and pure I just can't describe it. I used to think Martina McBride had a great voice but it sounds like nails on the board compared to Mindy Smith. Forewarned, she's a country/ Christian singer. This weekend I plan on going to Portland with Alison because we're supposedly buying stuff for stuff? she needs a dress for some event and I get to go too. Next weekend I get to spend the weekend in a treehouse! with Amanda and the church group. It should be a hootenannie. I don't know anything else exciting currently besides the whole Barometer thing... if I get in it, I'm going to take a million papers for myself! Just kidding. Oh, I also ate a Shari's with Elfe, JJ, Brandon, and Alison the other night on an excursion of unmentionable proportions. The next night, two nights ago, we had to evacuate McNary dorm because of a gas leak at 1:00 ish A.M. So Alison and I went to JJ's because we both had to use the bathroom and luckily I remembered to put in JJ's sickness kit some TP because they were all out of it. Ok, see? I did have lots more to write! I wasn't a liar. The other day Charlie brought a kitten home from one of the barns too. That was funny/ scary cause he had it in his doghouse with him. My mom found it. Ok, that's it for right now, I'll keep you posted on whether or not i get published. I have class in 26 minutes though, so I'm going to go.

Yesterday was really boring as far as classes were concerned. In my Chinese Literature class I was so bored and then this giant fly was buzzing around the room so I just followed him for a while and time passes a little faster.
I was able to go play basketball last night with Brandon and the boys. I felt out of place for a while and then Kevin waved at me which made me feel a little more welcome. Anyways, I played pretty well and didn't have nearly as many bruises as I did last time I played. JJ and I went to eat at PV and then Brandon and Kevin walked in just in time because JJ and I were fighting and it made things that much easier. JJ decided to tick me off so he dropped me off at home and I slammed the door in his face without saying a word and then we spent the next two hours on the phone yelling and hanging up on each other. Finally his phone died so I took a shower and went to bed!
Hopefully today isn't so eventful. Or if it is, hopefully it gets better than yesterday. We'll see, right? I think Manda might have another game today so I'll probably head towards Lebanon.

I saw Brandon had a sort of online diary so I figured I'd do one also so that maybe I can remember what I do from day to day. However, I going to start with yesterday. Yesterday I woke up and decided I didn't want to go to any classes, very rebellious of me, don't you think? Anyways, I decided instead to go to Amanda's game in Eugene, more specifically Springfield. Amanda's been doing pretty crappy in most of her games recently so I tried to be there for her. This time he (Oman) let her bat and she struck out both times. It's sad to watch her confidence diminish rapidly. I told her on a good note, that she's the one who hit the ball the furthest backwards when she smacked it foul, so I think she was a little happy about that.
On the drive down to the game I had daddy call me the sum total of four times. He calls you when he's on some back country road and expects service from his "Radio" as he so lovingly calls his cell. The final time he called he told me, "I don't think I get reception out here. I was behind that one hill, you know, Peterson's Butte." Living in Lebanon my whole life, I've never refered to Peterson's Butte as "that one hill" but I laughed and told him to stop calling because he was bad luck. It's not a lie, he truly is.
On the way home we stopped by the gateway mall and I bought a Pina Colada, Amanda got curly fries and mom bought a Churro so we had quite the feast driving home.
Mom also bought me a new purple ring that's big and goddy and wonderful. I was excited to get it. Nick, my brother, seems to be out of spirits lately and no one can really figure out why. I think he's realizing his college days are coming to an end and trying to make up for it every night. I don't know what to do other than let him be himself and try not to think about it.
I went by my cousin Bridgette's house to talk about her sister's baby shower next Saturday and she acted like she didn't want to help us at all. Not that she has to, but it is her sister, not mine! So anyways, I left her house feeling that much more angrier at her because she's continually letting me down. Then I mentioned her being in the Strawberry Parade and she's like, if my horse is ready, so I said, well you could always ride Kitty (Michelle's horse) and she's like, I'm not riding her! She can't neck rein. Whatever, right?
Welp, it looks like Amanda won't be getting in her make-up game against Willamette today, so oh well. Maybe something more exciting will occur in it's place?
